From a young age, I knew art was my calling. Early on, my dad taught me to wield power tools, sparking a lifelong passion for building and creating with my hands. I was fortunate to have inspiring teachers who nurtured my talents, setting the foundation for my creative journey and honing my drawing and sculpting skills early on.

I pursued my dreams at North Carolina State University's College of Design, majoring in Industrial Design, and expanded my horizons at Parsons Paris (formerly Parsons School of Design) in Paris, France. During college, I interned with the world renowned architect Michael Graves, contributing to large-scale building graphics and his designs for the New York CowParade.

After college, I joined a Charlotte-based architecture firm as Director of Graphics. My career took an exciting turn when I was selected for the DIY TV show Homemakers, where an all-female crew renovated homes while sharing step-by-step tutorials. Over four years and more than 60 episodes, I thrived in that dynamic environment, learned more than I could have imagined, and loved every minute.

When my husband and I decided to start a family, I shifted gears to become a stay-at-home mom, while keeping my creativity alive through occasional DIY TV commercials and logo design work. My eclectic background—layered with formal art studies, global travels, hands-on building, and self-taught techniques—has shaped who I am as an artist today.

As a seventh-generation Charlottean, I pour my heart into creating textured, playful, colorful, and unexpected pieces. Most of my work revolves around ArtResin, which I paint, pour, and shape using custom silicone molds. This medium has unlocked boundless possibilities, allowing me to prioritize fun, vibrant colors, and innovative forms. Driven by my innate need to create and a desire to share joy with the world, my art is an invitation to embrace the unexpected.
